Meet our Team
SUZANNE BURGE LCSW
Licensed Psychotherapist, Partner Clinician, Clinical Supervisor
I’m a trauma-informed therapist based in New York, offering therapy for adults navigating trauma, grief, identity exploration, and the stress of navigating oppressive systems. I center my work on building safety, trust, and a nonjudgmental space where you can explore who you are and what you need to heal.
My approach is collaborative and client-led. I bring warmth, flexibility, and curiosity to every session—and I welcome all parts of you, including the parts that have been silenced, exiled, or hidden.
My background includes extensive work in domestic violence advocacy and gender-based violence prevention. These experiences shape the care and social awareness I bring to my work with clients, especially those in LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and first-generation communities.
I draw from modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, somatic work, and mindfulness to support your unique process. My goal is to help you access your own wisdom, rewrite internalized narratives, and move toward a more grounded and liberated version of yourself.

I feel more grounded and optimistic, ready to embrace life with a renewed sense of purpose. One of the reasons I chose Suzanne was her Asian heritage, as I felt we might share similarities in upbringing. That connection made a difference—she was able to carefully analyze my challenges and guide me toward a healthier way of thinking about them.I highly recommend Suzanne to anyone struggling to adapt to life in NYC or facing personal challenges. She’s not only insightful but also incredibly warm and easy to talk to.”

“If you are struggling with anxiety & grief, Suzanne is a great option. Therapy wasn’t for me but when push came to shove I went, and my life has changed for the better because of it”.
